I noticed that most of the mail was in piles if not in bags. Evidently, it’s much more orderly than it looks, but it seems to me that there is plenty of room for error with such a system. The following shot was taken the same day. It’s a good thing it doesn’t rain much in Ladakh. I have no idea how long it will take to get everything delivered. Actually, it’s probably a matter of people coming to pick up their packages, if they can find them!

Should you ever want to send someone mail during the winter, be sure to send it by SpeedPost, if you don’t want it to wait until June.
