As of October 15, there is a new limit of Rs 10,000 per withdrawal from ATMs that aren’t owned by the bank where you have the account. What’s more troublesome, is that there is now a limit of five withdrawals per month. It’s not clear whether this applies to international banks as well as the Indian ones.
For the last couple of years, withdrawals from any bank’s ATM have been fee-free, but not any more. Now you’ll get charged for withdrawals from any bank other than the one your account is in.
